Karissa Smith is a double major in Studio Arts and Environmental Studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Her personal art is mainly paintings but, through her education she has become more well versed in many different mediums. She has many volunteer projects such as mural painting for local businesses, helping teach children at art camps, and creating crochet animals for local children’s hospitals in the South Shore.
Karissa has been recognized by the common wealth of Massachusetts for her mural contributions. She has also won best painting at the Massachusetts 8th District Congressional art show. Karissa is also a published artist in Celebrating Art and has been recognized by the MAEA in a juried show.
